Feb 28, 2008: I just had a visit from my nephew who thinks he saw a ufo in the night sky in the El prado area. I found you web page but can't open it up. wondered if any one else has reported anything. This was last night about 1:00. or I mean early this am. Marcia
Oct. 27, 2008: I was driving on 64 tonight from Taos and just about reached the intersection where you turn right toward Taos Ski Valley. Overhead crossing the highway was a ball of fire with a blue tail. It seemed to be flying fairly low and just as it crossed the road it vanished.
Several people were with me and saw it. Did anyone else see this strange thing and what might it have been? Karen

July 2nd every year is:
World UFO Day seeks to get governments to fess up to the existence of UFOs. Many people believe that UFOs from outer space have already visited us, and a big, government cover-up is hiding the facts from the public.
The date for this special day was chosen because it is the date of the Roswell Incident, a historical event leading to wide speculation and belief that aliens have indeed visited us.
Organizers are downright serious about getting the overall public to believe that we indeed have been visited by aliens from outer space. They are seeking to get the U.S. and other governments to admit to what they believe is a reality.
Have we been visited by extra-terrestrial beings? You make the call.
The "Roswell Incident":
July 2, 1947 is a date well known to UFO believers. On this date,Mac Brazel, a rancher in northwest of Roswell, New Mexico discovered wreckage of a metallic object on his ranch. The wreckage and the metal it was made of was strange. He contacted military authorities who investigated the site, and removed the wreckage. The first military reports referenced a mysterious, Unidentified Flying Object. These reports were later rescinded, leading to wide speculation and claims of a massive government cover-up of the discovery of UFOs from outer space. It also sparked fear of a UFO invasion and rumors of other incidents. That speculation is alive and well today.

UFO-CATTLE MUTILATION
Show to Be Taped in Taos-Santa Fe Paranormal Experience Symposium Set for Angel Fire February 18, 2009
By Staff Reports
The next two months will be big for UFOs, cattle mutilation, paranormal experience and extraterrestrial fans in northern New Mexico. The UFO Hunters series will be taping at the end of this month in and around Taos and Santa Fe for a show on UFOs and cattle mutilations to air in the spring on the History Channel. “We are going to look at the mutilations, the mysterious San Luis Valley, and try to determine why this is happening and how the animals are being taken and killed. We’re going to consider all possibilities: cults, predators, extraterrestrials, and secret military project,” said Kevin Barry, producer for UFO Hunters, in an e-mail. Norio Hayakawa, a retired funeral home director from Rio Rancho, will explore theories of a secret underground government base near Dulce, N.M. Plans for the “Dulce Base: Fact or Fiction?” conference on March 29 in Dulce are now firm, according to its host Hayakawa, who was quoted in a press release as saying: “The conference will discuss long-circulated rumors of a secret alien/U.S. government underground base … and will serve as an adjunct to the March 27-28, 2009 UFO Conference in Aztec.” “While there is no public verifiable or physical evidence of any kind of government facility near Dulce, speculation about strange sounds from deep under the Archuleta Mesa, along with reports of cattle mutilations and UFO sightings in the Dulce area, are rampant in UFO circles and on the Internet,” the release said. Hayakawa either wants to substantiate the rumors or refute them. He visited the town in 1990 “with the crew of a Japanese television program attempting to document the existence of an alien/U.S government base there. Although documentation was unsuccessful, Hayakawa claims that he and the television crew were inexplicably detained by the police chief while interviewing the citizens on the street about UFOs and cattle mutilations.” Among the rumors is one that a tunnel between Roswell and Dulce exists or existed and was used to transport wreckage of an alien craft that UFO devotees alleged crashed near Roswell in the famous “Roswell incident.” The one-day conference will be held at the Best Western Jicarilla Inn in Dulce on Sunday, March 29, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a $5 entry fee. More information can be obtained by e-mailing Hayakawa at noriohayakawa@rocketmail.com. The 2009 Paranormal Symposium at Angel Fire takes place Sept. 11-13 with a schedule of speakers concerned with paranormal incidents, vendors and a film festival. The event is not limited to UFO-related speakers. There will be a discussion of Nevada’s secret military Area 51, and Hayakawa will also speak. A number of other paranormal experts will be available to discuss Native American spirituality, alternative energy, clairvoyance, reincarnation, ghosts, etc., according to a press release.
